NAFA

The pupils took their National Physical Fitness Assessment (NAPFA) test last week. NAPFA was launched in 1982 as a standardised assessment of overall fitness for the general population and to stimulate interest in physical fitness. There are 5 stations and a 1.6km run that the pupils need to complete. The pupils completed their 1.6km a week ago. Mrs Jessie Eng led the class in some stretching exercise before they attempted the 5 stations.

I did not manage to take many pictures as I was on duty that day!

Thank you.

SEP Photographs

The children are still very camera shy. That's what happened when they see me with a camera...Most are shocked, frightened and some will pretend I am not around or not shooting them but there are some (thankfully) are willing to be my models and will smile beautifully! A better much shot when I demanded them to smile! Hehee...
The pupils practising their swing at the parade square....

I love this shot.. Look how serious Brandon, Benjamin and Mathias are when they practised their swing....Beautiful! Don't you think they look very professional?

Racial Harmony Day

The school commemorated Racial Harmony Day today. The pupils are encouraged to wear their tradational costumes for the day which some of them did.Their recess was extended for 15mins. There were games and food sampling booths set up by the parents volunteers and the NE team.

Prior before today, the pupils actually had a discussion on Maria Hertogh riots during their Social Studies lesson. Just wondering if any of you can remember what is the colour of the ribbon we put on for RHD and why that colour is chosen? Come to me and share your answer and you can get a little token!

Sports Enrichment Programme

The pupils attended their first lesson of golf today. This is part of the Sports Enrichment Programme. I think for many, this is their first time learning this sport and I do hope they will have fun. Maybe we will also find the next Tiger Woods through this programme?

Rachel is on magazine

I was reading a magazine (Young Parents) when I happened to see Rachel and her mummy's pictures.

I know that Rachel can run but I didn't know she is an active triathlete. Cool! Way to go, Rachel!
