Thank you

I really want to say a BIG thank you to all of you. It's really VERY sweet and thoughtful of you to get me all these gifts.... the cookies (yummy), the nuts (finished!), massage cushion (very thoughful- super for my aching neck), bag (carry my worksheets home- thanks!), personalised key chain, bag holder, stationery sets etc (too many to write here) and the specially designed cards just for me! I was reading those cards and notes that you wrote just now. They really warm my heart. I really appreciate it! I know I have the BEST class in Kuo Chuan!
Have a good rest and I will see all of you on Thursday for more fun and excitement!! Hahaa! Cheers!

YOG Games

We are the privilege class that is chosen to watch a YOG game, badminton at Indoor Stadium. We need not pay for the tickets as the school paid for us. Each of us also received a YOG EZ-link card. Cool!
These are some of the pictures I took while waiting for the game to begin.

Though it's the preliminary round, some of the matches were very exciting. We only stayed there for 2hours. I believe it's a memorable experience for all of us.

Library Activity

The library has organised some activities for the children with the help of some parent volunteers. There are three stations that the children need to complete.
1st station- I believe it's like charade. They have to pose some questions or act and the other group has to guess. I think they enjoy this station the most. Lots of shouting because of excitement! 2nd Station: Story wall. Each child has to write a sentence or two to continue the story. I have the honour to start the story.

3rd Station: Drop everything and read (DEAR). Aunty Norah has borrowed some books from the National Library. Some books are very interesting.
Below are the final products of the story wall...

SEP Updates

It was a rainy afternoon. The children practised their strokes in the concourse. I managed to capture some of them in action... According to the instructor, some of them are very good! =)

The Winning Cheer

I am proud to annouce that 4Excellence has won the cheer!Congratualtions!

JYOG Part 1

I guess the main highlight of the JYOG is the cheer leading competition. And yes, we did it again! We won!! I believe the children are very much excited over the victory. I am too. Their hard work has paid off. I must thank Mrs Amanda Tan, their PE teacher for her hard work in training the children and giving pointers, helping them to improve.
We gathered at 1.30pm. Marked attendance, had some briefing and sang some songs... I simply love Matthew's enthusiasm..
The children were given some time off to practise their cheer...
They went through the routine again and again....
The result was only released at the end.... We were nervous.. Who would not?.. The competition was tough... over the days, the rest of the classes have been practising hard and were doing just as well....
When the result was announced, we were all jumping for JOY!!! Thank God for another victory that the class can celebrate and be proud of!

Grace receiving the prize of our behalf from VP Mr Chew.
The 3 representatives... 3rd goes to 4Courage?? [ Can't confirm! Was too excited to listen to the result then...] 2nd is 4 Faith and of course, 1st is 4Excellence!!
Posing with Principal Mr Chua...and with VP Mr Chew and P Mr Chua...
Good job children! I am proud of all of you! You deserve to win!
The 20 children who participated are.... Grace Chan, Benjamin, Davin Ng, Brandon Ng, Deborah Seah, Matthew Tan, Rachel Loy, Kelly, Cheryl Phua, Samantha, Dawn Liu, Joanne, Xiao Zhing, Timothy Lim, Bryan Chia, Sze Hui, Javier Wan, Xiu Min, Jonathan Koh and Ker Tao.

JYOG @ Bishan Part 2

These are the pictures taken when we were at the street waiting to cheer for our torch bearers. We were early as we needed to take position. There was already a crowd when we were there. There was a slight drizzle that most of us did not take notice of. In fact, I don't think anyone realise that Mrs Loo was helping to carry all the ponchos!Without her, I would not be able to take so many pictures! Thanks Mrs Loo!
Here we are... posing for pictures and having so much fun..
Mdm Jumaina was with us too...Guess what your friends were pointing and looking at?????
Not helicopter... balloons that were in the sky... Hahaa... At one time, your friends were even fighting for balloons... so embarrassing ... I thought only little children are interested in balloons...
After they have burst that balloon... Back to posing... More great shots together... Yes, a few ex pupils from Kuo Chuan were with us...Two of them were my GB girls...The road was empty...The traffic police was here to make sure we were off the road... Very fierce looking....

The first red YOG bus arrived....
followed by the blue bus...
And here... presenting out 3rd torch bearer, Tinesh of 6 Agape...
Of course we must take a picture with the STAR of the day!!! I understand that there are only 2000+ torch bearers in this whole event and he is one of the blessed one to be chosen..

When we returned to school... we grabbed the opportunity to take picture with the three torch bearers. From left is Elisha, Tinesh and Dylis.

I hope all of you have a great time...

Keep the YOG flame alive as we look forward to 16th August....
